Live Barn · Interactive model

Watch a barn think for itself.

A working model of a 520-head dairy barn — four pens, a 5.5 m feed alley, 76 individually driven fans and 520 cows that walk. Expand it and the console opens as a translucent drawer: change the climate and the barn answers in seconds.

This is the model, not a video. The plan above is the simulator itself, running in place — every dot is a cow, every fan carries its own speed. In this preview it is deliberately read-only: the drawing, the legend and four live numbers, and nothing that can be mis-clicked. Expand opens the console. Four systems, one barn

Everything a barn does, on one drawing

Ventilation, soaking and lying behaviour run together here — the same three systems the control modules drive in a real barn. Each card below opens the model in that system's own scene, with the climate set to the condition that system exists for. Feeding is the fourth system in the barn and the one still being built, so it has no scene yet.

FanPilot

Ventilation

Seventy-six fans, each with its own speed rather than one barn-wide average. The fan bands follow THI, and cow presence from the vision layer decides which fans are working at all — an empty pen stops being ventilated like a full one.

FanPilot Advanced
TargetSoak

Soaking

Drops along the feed alley, metered per nozzle and per pen. Spray opens where a cow is actually standing, and the model counts every litre against a fixed baseline, so the saving is visible rather than claimed.

64 nozzles per pen · 4 pens

LyingLogix

Lying behaviour

Where cows lie, how long they stay down, and how the cubicles fill and empty through the day — the lying-time map, not a cow-flow diagram. FanPilot can read the same map as an optional presence input.

NutriTrack

Feeding

Delivery, push-up, intake and refusals at the bunk, per pen group — read by the same camera line that already tells FanPilot and TargetSoak where the cows are standing. The feed record itself is still in development with lead farms.

Full screen

A console on the left, a bigger barn behind it

The embedded view is deliberately quiet: the barn, one readout line, one button. Expand it and the console arrives as a translucent drawer over the drawing — the plan keeps the full width of the screen, and the drawer can be slid away whenever you want to look at the barn rather than at the numbers.

Inside, the controls are grouped the way a barn is run: what the day is doing, what you are about to do, what the barn is doing about it, and what it has cost. Temperature and humidity are two sliders; THI is calculated from them as you move either one. There is no second place to set a setpoint.

Nobody needs a login to try it. The model is a simulation, so a visitor cannot break anything real.

Climate
Temperature and humidity sliders with a live THI. Fans stage at 66 and reach full speed at 72.
Playback
Pause, 0.25× up to 120×, and a clock that keeps barn time.
Barn actions
Push feed down the alley, deliver a ration, hold everything.
Systems
Fan airflow, target lying time, sprinkler detail, camera coverage and the magnifier.
Comparison
Cumulative water and power against a fixed baseline, updated as the day runs.
Back out
One EXIT button in the corner, or Esc — the page puts the frame back where it belongs.

Demonstration model. Every figure in this barn — temperatures, fan speeds, litres, kilowatt-hours and cow positions — is simulated for illustration. It is not a control system, a commissioning tool or a performance guarantee; a real installation is designed from your drawings and validated on site.
