DB7 Smart Soaking Controller

Eight zones, one simple control platform. Control up to eight soaking circuits locally or remotely — as a conventional controller, or with DB3 motion soakers.

Overview

One panel for every soaking zone

The DB7 is the control cabinet the soaking system hangs off. It switches up to eight 24 V circuits, holds the soaking strategy and gives the barn a single place to look at and adjust the whole system — as a conventional controller today, or as the head end of a cow-responsive DB3 installation.

  • 8 × 24 V switched outputs, one per soaking circuit
  • Front-panel control — no network or laptop required on site
  • Remote strategy setting through the BARNEYE platform when connected
  • IP66 enclosure for mounting inside the barn
  • 8Individually switched 24 V circuits
  • 3×Operating modes — regular, group, individual
  • 2Ways to set it up — local panel or remote
  • IP66Enclosure rating for the barn
Advantages

Why the DB7 is specified

Four reasons it ends up on the wall of most soaking projects.

Eight outputs

Control up to eight soaking circuits from a single panel, with one switched 24 V output each.

Temporary channel override

Use the front-panel switch to temporarily turn an individual circuit on or off without changing the stored strategy.

Two setup options

Set parameters on the local knobs with no network at all, or configure the strategies remotely through the platform.

Pressure-friendly

Sequential soaking reduces simultaneous demand on the water line, so the line does not have to be sized for every circuit opening at once.

Operation

Three operating modes

Standalone control today, precision soaking when the barn is ready for it.

  1. 01 Regular Timed soaking with no detection — the familiar behaviour, for circuits that still run on a clock.
  2. 02 Group Precision One shared cycle, applied only to the zones where cows are present.
  3. 03 Individual Precision Each cow zone runs its own cycle, independent of the others.
Configuration

Two ways to configure it

Commission it from the front panel, or manage it from an office.

  1. Local setup Set soaking parameters directly from the front panel. No network, no laptop, no commissioning tool required.
  2. Remote setup Configure and update soaking strategies through the BARNEYE platform — including across multiple farms from one account.
